How long does it take to get hired through the Calyptus platform?

It varies significantly based upon an employer's timelines however our average time to fill a role, application to offer, is 19 days.

How can I attract interview requests on Calyptus?

Complete your profile in as much detail as you can. The more verifications & assessments you have taken, the more likely an employer is to see your profile.

Why should I take a skills assessment on Calyptus?

Skills assessments are a necessary part of the majority of our employers' interview process. By taking assessments through the Calyptus platform, you are demonstrating your skills before being invited to interview, thus increasing your chances at being invited.

The results of skills assessments taken through Calyptus are stored on the Optimism blockchain - meaning you can share your on-chain credentials with any employer globally (outside of Calyptus partners) to provide them with more detail on your technical prowess. We believe in blockchain for enabling user ownership and creating faster trust.

What data is stored on-chain? How is it stored?

A unique NFT is generated for you to own your talent credentials from skill assessment scores to number of references provided. As changes occur, it’s overwritten. It's stored on the Optimism blockchain.

Importantly, no personal or identifiable data is stored in your NFT for privacy and data protection purposes.

How should I prepare for a skills assessment?

No preparation is needed to take a Skills Assessment. Once you navigate to the assessments page, you’ll be told exactly the steps to get going. Our assessment partner, Coderbyte, monitors for cheating. Switching tabs/windows or copying & pasting will result in assessment disqualification.

Who will see my skills assessment results and what do they see?

Only you and employers on Calyptus will be able to see your Assessment results - this will be in the form of a percentage score.

Can I re-take a skills assessment?

Yes. You will be able to re-take unsatisfactory skills assessments up to five times.

Will I get to skip stages of the interview process if I take an assessment?

This is where we are headed however at first, we cannot guarantee that tech tests in an employer's interview process will be skipped. Assessments will though make you stand out significantly to start conversations.

Can I use my own IDE for assessments?

No. You must use the in-built IDE so that we can monitor for cheating. Switching tabs/windows or copying & pasting are flagged as suspicious activities.
